Weather Report – November 13 – 14 – 15 – 16 – 17

I’ll lump these monotonous gloomy days into one report – grey and foggy with temperatures ranging from 3C/37F to 6C/43F, 85% relative humidity. It’s still not so cold that I can’t ride and it’s not raining, so I have been out. Not many pictures of sky or weather as such, but I have pictures which I will now post.

November 13

Took some pictures along the Würm again. Looks like beavers have been busy here.

November 14

A ride to Lake Starnberg, dismal weather but I enjoyed my ride anyway.

November 15

A very foggy ride today
The paths in the woods are very wet now, and when I get home my bike, shoes and pants are spattered with a mixture of sand and loam (? is that the right word?) Anyway it’s messy.
I wanted to set the timer, throw some leaves and then quickly jump out of the pictures while the leaves gently floated to the ground. This is the result. And my gloves got wet in the process which meant cold hands.
A nice day for moody pictures

November 16

Early morning ride to taichi

November 17

Just another grey day
We rode to an Italian restaurant for pizza, it was motivation to get on our bikes. This bright wall was outside where the bikes are parked. No other bikes today, though. That’s the good thing about this weather, no other bikes out and we have all the paths to ourselves. According to the text on the left, this is a war elephant from a painted plate, originating from lower Italy, 3rd century B.C, the time of the Punic Wars and that the artists were apparently inspired by Hannibal’s war elephants.

More than half of November is over, let’s see if the sun comes out before the month’s end.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

Take heart, spring is only about four months away! In the meantime, thanks for sharing these wonderful images. I especially like the last one from 11/15 – or would you say 15/11?

Foggy skies, wet (but still colorful) leaves, and muddy paths… Our rides are looking very similar. I’ve also noticed the lack of other cyclists the last few days. Great that you’re managing to get out. And getting out for pizza sounds like great motivation!

    Enjoyed the photos.
Lots of gray and fog here as well, and wind.
At least in the forest, the leaves don’t blow all over . . . . the place.
