What Do I C?

As I approach my 6,000 km goal for the year, there can be no slacking off now. This morning was foggy and -1C for my ride to tai chi class. Janos generously offered to drive me but I bravely got on my bike for the 40-minute ride. I now have heated insoles for my shoes and they made a big difference.

When exposed to oxygen, some chemical reaction heats the insoles and they are warm for about 8 hours. Not a very environment friendly product, I’m afraid, since they can only be used once. But they work great! I won’t be using them every day, though.

Big surprise when I came out of class at 11 – not only had the fog cleared but Janos was waiting for me! He came by bike to ride home with me. And he doesn’t even use foot warmers. Almost home and it was approaching noon so we stopped for lunch. After showing our vaccination certificates and ID’s, we settled in for a nice warm meal at a table next to the window.

C-urtains – C’s my letter for today. And you can see our bikes outside the window.
C-urtains again – After lunch and our bikes are still waiting for us. They are locked together with a heavy lock which we feel is safe enough in the daytime. We would never leave the bikes out at night or at a train station parking day or night.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

Very nice! Hope you reach your goal!

Is there a link to the foot warmers?

        Thanks!
Looks like a great product, and not all that expensive either — have to see what may be available here.
