MY FIRST FOOD ENTRY FOR AUGUST

First I will try to post a photo, if that works I will fix the blog link.

OK — Looks like that worked so the 80 km little story should be here…. adventureswithnancyg@blogspot.com If that does not work I will try again.

Food:

Pre pie, cobble, smoothie and any other berry thing.

It’s a little early yet for plump ripe blackberries, but I got some sweet ones for my snack.

Pre roast duck, duck al la l’orange duck or other duck dishes.

With part of my bike in the photo.

where we stopped for lunch — neglected to get my bike in the photo (or a photo of our food), but this is on the same ride as the other photos.

This place has many old automobile items from back in the day displayed inside and out.

Thank you Scott for figuring out whatever it was that had kept me from posting. If the link to the blog still does not work, please let me know.

I’d like to take credit, but I didn’t do anything. I’m pretty puzzled.

Well, I sure don’t know. I logged out and back in, shut down and opened and it still would not work and I kept getting the same message. I took you reading it and replying I guess. But seems ok now. At least for the time being 🙄

Man, I sure remember those blackberries while riding around the Seattle area. They taste fine, but their thorns scratched the heck out of me. They grow like crazy all the way from the metro and up to the base of the Cascades.

They are everywhere around here during this blackberry month. They are not yet at their peak of ripeness, plumpness and sweetness, but you can find some good ones.

Congratulations on your ride your age birthday ride! So wonderful to have some friends to come along to celebrate. Looks like it was a nice day. I love berries and raspberries hold a special place in my heart as my parents had them growing along the side of the garage when I was a kid. My dad would have loved the junkyard grill, too.

Thank you for the congrats Em. That Junkyard Grill is very interesting so I am sure your dad would enjoy it. Next time there I will try to get photos of some of the inside stuff. It is a fun place.
