Winter Challenge
Cold weather seems to be my challenge. Considering the snow, wind, and ice so many of you are experiencing, I am really ashamed of myself for whining and complaining so much the past days just because it is grey and cold (2 – 4 C) and has rained a bit. No denying it is unpleasant, though, and I don’t do well in cold weather. I continue to optimize my rain and winter gear and do my best to keep fingers and toes warm. My new neoprene overshoes have been great so far for keeping my feet warm and dry.

No Christmas pictures yet, but they are coming for sure.

I know what you mean — winter and cycling are just not a good combination.
Even the motorcycle people put their machines up for the winter — when a good day does present itself, out we all go!!
The trainer I have is turning out to be a good thing — I kind of visualize my usual routes by mileage and think ‘right now I’d be going over the North Fork” etc etc.
Enjoyed seeing the photos and appreciate the fact that they were taken under less than ideal conditions. The photo along the Wurm is especially a great scene.
I think on my comment to you I didn’t use the reply button. Don’t know whether you saw it or not.
A trainer sounds like a very good idea. If we had space to put it somewhere, I would want one too. But our apartment is not that big – the advantage being that there is less housework involved with a small place. Makes life easier as you get older.
Btw got a strange thing when commenting on your Dec.2 entry. Had to enter email etc. then the comment appeared three times. But the comment I made a couple of days ago wasn’t there at all…. Just checked again and the new comment wasn’t there either. 🙁
Today we are to have ‘freezing rain’!! I have basically been housebound for an entire week other than a couple of neighborhood walks. There have been icy and black ice roads and walkways and temps have been cold. I can dress for most cold temps, but am not willing to chance the ice causing me to fall!
The photo of the path that has the S-curve speaks to me and make me envious of your riding area. So beautiful no matter how many times you take the photo. They are always different.
There seems to be some kind of conspiracy going on between the rain and your Tai Chi classes. That just ain’t fair. Anyway, I love that last picture along the Wurm. (Boy that name looks weird without the aumlat.)
